Electronic visa-switching, or E-Visa, is a new system that allows people to enter the country on a temporary visa with no money required and with no documents required.
The system, which is expected to be launched this month, is also being marketed by the Turkish foreign ministry as an alternative to traditional passports.
This is not the first time that Turkey has launched an electronic visa-switch system.
The Turkish government announced that it was working on an electronic signature in April 2016 and in July 2016, the Turkish authorities launched an online electronic visa switch.
In July 2016 Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding with China, France and the United Kingdom to launch an electronic passport system in 2020.
