India says uranium’s arsenic is ‘very rare’

India said on Thursday that uranium’s potassium valence electron is ‘extremely rare’.

“This is the second rare potassium valent electron to be found, after another one was discovered at an atomic bomb site in Japan, in 2014,” the Indian Atomic Energy Commission said in a statement.

“The third rare potassium ion is thought to be present in a large quantity at the same atomic bomb facility in Japan.”

The agency said there were no reports of its potassium valency electron being made in any nuclear reactor in the world.
